Asa Cox
Asa has been involved in the generic pharmaceutical industry for 15 years; his work experience covers both technical and commercial aspects of the industry: Sourcing, finished dose contract manufacturing, regulatory approvals and formulation development. He also has extensive experience in negotiating licensing deals across Europe with all the major players.
Asa is the founder of genericlicensing.com, the first and largest database of dossiers available for licensing. Through this Asa is extensively networked in the industry and has provided the platform for the GP2.0 growth into new sectors and activities. The group of businesses deal with 8000+ products and more than 150 clients.
Asa has worked on projects for: Merck & Co, Sanofi, Teva, Apotex, Reckit Benckiser, Sandoz & many more.
Stu Williams
Stu is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he focuses on the global generics practice, working on litigation, intellectual property, antitrust, FDA/regulatory, corporate, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Stu served as chief legal officer of Mylan Inc. In this position handled all legal issues affecting both the parent company and its subsidiaries.
More broadly, Stu assisted the company’s senior management with strategic planning that encompassed the unique combination of product development, litigation tactics, government regulation, partnerships, licensing arrangements, and mergers and acquisitions. He also held oversight of Mylan’s human resources function and served as secretary of its board of directors.
Ed Borkowski
Ed was CFO of Mylan Inc. from 2002 until 2009 where he helped transform the company from a U.S.-based generic business to one of the largest generic pharmaceutical companies in the world, operating in more than 60 countries. During his tenure at Mylan, the company grew revenue from $900 million to more than $4.5 billion through the combination of organic growth and acquisition, including a $7 billion acquisition of Merck Generics in 2007 and the $750m acquisition of Matrix, the largest in the Indian pharmaceutical at the time.
Prior to Mylan, Ed was vice president of global finance and information technology of consumer health care at Pharmacia Corporation.
